Taking It Easy August 13, 2008

I decided not to take the JLPT4 this fall; it was adding extra stress that I don’t really need right now as I’m still getting over being sick. I want to enjoy learning Japanese so I can talk with my friends over there, not make it another stressful job!

Am I giving up on Japanese? No! I’m making steady progress in the book Remembering The Kanji, and hope to finish it soon. I decided that the method I’m using to learn Japanese isn’t quite compatible with the JLPT format, so I will wait until next year when I have much more Japanese under my belt.

Peanut was sick earlier this week, but she is doing better. We are hoping she will be 100% better by this weekend, because she turns TWO YEARS OLD tomorrow! Yes, we will have a two-year-old on our hands! She’s our little angel:

Pookies started school this week, and she has a wonderful teacher. I think that this year is really going to be good for her. (I was going to post a picture of her here, but I realized that I have been delinquent in posting pictures…need to get to that sometime!)

たんじょうび おめでとう ハンア!
I think your decision about the JLPT4 is a right conclusion for your people and you. You are most welcome to use your Japanese at any time. Please don’t hesitate to say when you need it. Take it easy!

Good choice. Just skip 4-kyu and sign up for JLPT3 next year. I’m sure you’ll be more than ready by then.

Hashimura-san: Thanks for all your help!
