Here’s a quick hit list:

  • I’m teaching myself かたかな (katakana) now; I think I have the ひらがな (hiragana) pretty well down. Only じょ (jo) and じゅ (ju) seem to catch me by surprise almost every time, but I will prevail, and hey, I only started learning ひらがな on Sunday, so I can give myself some grace here. Some. ;)
  • Jim’s first sermon in his new church is Sunday, and he’s the scapegoat…err, the man. Yeah.
  • I’m meeting with a Japanese friend over Skype tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
  • Shiera is back!
  • Kids: Pookies is doing great. She’s been really into the games lately, especially Uno Attack, and she’s getting scary good at strategy. Her old man (err, young man? I’m only 30…) still has a few tricks up his sleeve. It’s not all luck of the draw, though the card launcher does complicate things, especially when it launches about ? of the deck at you. Don’t laugh…you might be next.
  • Kids: Peanut is talking more and more every day, and using sentences now, like “where da light?” (for ‘where did the light go?”) and “want more wa-wa”. I asked her last week if she wanted to play with Daddy, and she said, “No, want cookie!” (She calls graham crackers ‘cookies’.)
  • Beautiful Wife and I had a very nice anniversary weekend, though on Monday, June 23, we kind of forgot that that was actually the day, only remembering when we hit the bed at the end of the day (”oh, yeah!”). :D
  • Parting thought: I think God really intended for our lives to be an adventure.

^-^
